Individuals
– the power of one
One
person can make an enormous difference. You can sponsor a basket
for just $30. Your tax deductible donation will enrich the lives of
a needy family this Christmas. The more baskets you can sponsor,
the more joy you can share. You might decide to collect donations
from friends, family or colleagues. Try a gold coin donation at
your next dinner party, or just spread the word about the basket
brigade and see how many people want to
join you!

Not in
a position to contribute money? We still need your help. Volunteers
are required throughout the year, so give us a call to discuss how
you can help pack or deliver baskets.
You might even decide to enjoy the full giving experience … sponsor
a basket, attend the fun packing day and deliver to a needy family.
It’s a great opportunity to experience the joy of selfless
contribution.
Larger
groups and companies – scaling it up
Many
companies and organisations use the Basket Brigade fund-raising as
a chance for team building. Encouraging a group of colleagues to
work together
to sponsor baskets is a powerful bonding experience. Some
workplaces hold a special day when people donate cash, food or
gifts. It can be as simple as wrapping a box and placing it in your
reception or lunch room to invite the generosity of others.

On a
larger scale, you could make the Basket Brigade the focus of
fund-raising throughout the year. Just $3000 will feed 100 families
and let them feel the true spirit of Christmas. With just a little
effort, your organisation can help brighten the lives of families
who are less fortunate. Of course, donations over $2 are tax
deductible. Your staff are very welcome on packing day. Working as
a team to put baskets together or helping deliver them builds
spirit and cooperation.
Sharing
the experience of making a difference in the lives of others is
invaluable. An option some companies took last year was to match
dollar for dollar the donations made by their staff. We are full of
ideas – just give us a call and we will help you make it
happen.
